The Eberlestock J107 Dragonfly is on Camofire right now for $239. It's a heavy pack but also a solid pack. Most importantly... it's in your price range!

I love my Stone Glacier packs. I bought a Solo and an Approach bag, and love them both. They are so versatile, and well thought out. One of the things I really like is the ability to buy any of the bigger pack bags separately, put it on my frame, and have a totally different option.

People are starting to talk about what SG will come out with this year. He is great at holding out until just before the shows start. I think everything Kifaru has is already on the table. Keep rubbing the Buddha. Another $100 and you have some real options.

My Exo is an incredible pack..Yes they are expensive, but i wont need to buy another pack for as long as i want with this one. I got the 5500 just to make sure I had the extra space when it comes to longer backcountry trips, and it shrinks down nicely for just day hunts. If your gonna spend the money and get a long-term pack, i would look at either Exo or Kifaru. Ive never been around stone glacier, but have heard good things, and Mystery Ranch are a good company, but their packs tend to be on the heavier side. My favorite part of my Exo is the frame...It twists when needed for drawing my bow with a full load on my back, but it completely sturdy and stable for hauling HEAVY loads. I hauled a 130lb load of elk out on it down steep nasty country and it rode as comfortable as a 130lb load could, and i didnt have a sore back one bit the next day!
Exo 5500 I'm looking on there website and see lots of packs destroyer and battleship?
None labeled 5500 and price seems around $400 thought they're higher by description everyone's giving?

I think I'm going to get a Kuiu icon pro 7200. They seem to have a lot of bang for the buck. Ive been searching classifieds daily, not many used ones on the market and the ones I do find seem to sell for less than 20% of new price and are never exactly what I'm looking for. I think I'm going to just splurge and buy a new one next time I get a coupon in the mail.

Good Choice! But then again I am sure you would expect me to say that!

I bought my Kuiu Icon Pro for not much over your mark, watch for sales on Kuiu. Sadly, I don't have much experience with it yet to give you a true report, but at this point I am happy with it.

Kuiu packs are pretty popular. Seems like anything with the "KUIU" name gets a following. They had some serious issues with their frames a few years ago. If you go the KUIU route, I've heard a good option is going with the new Icon frame and an ultra light bag. You might check it out!

Well I got a great deal on a Icon Pro 7200! I'm super excited about my new pack, I can't wait to take it out on its first adventure.

Thanks for all the tips and advise!
