Things to do after the hunt? Meat locker/ taxidermist Reg G

So I am hunting Reg G this year. A few years ago I asked for some must stop places around Cody and hit up some of those. Now I am asking what are some places defiantly worth stopping for dinner or just to see around Jackson/Reg G? I'll be coming from the east and coming in on 80, I have never been in rock springs either.

So looking for a hole in the wall type place or just really outstanding food. Maybe some trout fishing if time allows.

Also a meat locker and taxidermist one would recommend. Just want meat frozen, maybe processed if done early enough. Taxidermist, looking for someone to salt and cape if successful. I know a good taxidermist in Casper if I need to go their I will.

Traveling I-80, you will be driving right through Omaha. Many, many outstanding places to eat. PM me types of food you like and I'll recommend some restaurants in Omaha you could hit on your way West.

And don't forget about Ole's Big Game Steakhouse and Lounge in Paxton, NE

Hog Island Meats. .10 minutes south of Jackson. .best one around. ..gun barrel restaurant in Jackson is a good Classic as is the million dollar steakhouse and the bar itself...also the Wort/silver dollar bar is a good place for a cold one....not really any taxidermist in Jackson, you will have to go south to alpine which you should already be around hunting G...there are a couple in that star valley region. .but I've never personally dealt with them. .you should just give them a call

Game Processing: Hog Island or Teton Ice (not sure if Teton Ice is still in business - been a while since I lived there)

Food: Bubba's (breakfast), Nora's (breakfast), Merry Piglets (Mexican), Pinky G's (Pizza), New York City Sub Shop (subs/sandwiches)

Food + Entertainment: Bar J Chuckwagon if still open (seasonal)

Fly-Fishing: Flat Creek (in Elk Refuge - opens in August), Snake River (+tributaries), Fish Cr., Gros Ventre, Pacific Creek, Hoback

Lake Fishing: Jackson, Jenny, String Lakes, Phelps Lake (hike in), Goodwin (hike in), Toppings (Grayling - hike in), Brooks Lake

If you need a fishing guide - Boots Allen (best around)

Have fun! I will be chasing elk and deer in Region H this year. Leaving 9/13....can't wait to go home again!
