16 inches of new snow is suppose to hit over next few days in hills above these guys, I'm sure a bunch more will move in.

Nice find. How much snow do you have up there? Hoping we get a good storm the beginning of the next week to add to the snow pack for spring runoff.

having an average year, been several years since we've had good snows, mountains are right at or above average. there's a good foot on ground where these buggers are, about 8 on ground in valley, several feet up higher, been melting then re snowing in valley.

So I was after pigs here in northern cali I knew I was going to see a bunch of deer but figured they'd be dropping horns by now so I left the camera at home.

Long story short no pigs but I saw some giant crossbreed mule/blacktail bucks. I know no pics but there was one group of bucks. One was a I'd guess 26 inches wide with a typical 4x4 frame with about half dozen eyeguards on each side with one dropping down by his eye that turned into a big ball, he was very impressive. Fully in velvet, followed by another velvet 22" 3x4 followed by a hornless buck. I have never seen stag bucks in a bachelor group before. Has anyone else?

Maybe its all the barbwire but I have seen 6 stag bucks this year where the only other stag I had seen was many years ago that i shot in the wilderness.

How common is it, to see stags?
