Can't seem to work out the picture but I am excited about the Weatherby Vanguard and know that it would have been a great addition to my hunt with my 12 y/o grandson William. I have 20 grand children and I hope to make hunters out of all of them.
William Missed his deer but that's ok. He learned a valuable lesson. Hunting isn't just about the kill. It's about being together out in God's great creation and seeing and feeling the beauty there. Well good luck to every one.

The yeti cooler system would sure be nice.Last year hunting on top of the Tetons at spike camp for 4 days and then returning to base camp and worrying about the base camp food still being safe to eat.It was getting in the 80's.

I'm going to go out on a limb here Folks.....

Right now every thing I have for hunting is serving its purpose and I am not actively looking to replace any of it.

That said, The Camp Chef Rainier Camper Combo Kit sure offers some neat features my current Coleman 2 burner doesn't. Not only would I take it hunting, but it would be handy for training group destination runs. Nothing better than "Second Breakfast" after a Summer trail run!

OK for part two....

It was a long day packing a bull out of our 2012 Elk Camp in Wyoming. 10 miles to the Trailhead, then 30 miles into town to the processor, then back in 10 miles that night. Maybe if we had a Yeti Cooler we could have kept that meat cool despite the warm temps.

Contest entry!

This is one that I have been looking forward to for a while now, this will be the biggest giveaway that we have ever done on the forum. So without further ado, here is the list of products we will be giving away!

Weatherby Vangaurd Synthetic Rifle Chambered in .257 Weatherby- $1000.00

In order to enter you will have to do a few things:

1. List the piece of gear that excites you the most in this giveaway and what you would use it for.

2. Enter a second time with a picture in a separate post from a previous hunt where you would have liked to have had one of your favorites from the list above.

Other Rules:

-No person will win more than one prize. That means that 9 different people will be winning some great gear.
-After April 14th check back every day see if you have a message letting you know if you have won. we
-Make sure you fill out all of the stipulations to enter, don't miss out on great odds for winning by not signing up properly.
You guys have really made this tough. Pretty cool stuff! If I have to choose, and I guess I do, I'd go with the Bowtech. I've recently recovered from a long illness in which I lost 60 lbs and a good deal of muscle mass. Can't draw my recurve anymore. A bow with let off could be just the ticket to get me back in the game. Good luck to everyone that's entering the contest! rlonb52

Kenetrek Mountain Extreme 400 Boots Supreme

I immediately recall an antelope hunt last year where Joe and I were out in the middle of NOWHERE and the terrain was VERY rough.

Now a goat isn't that big, but when coupled with very rough terrain (and unsettling snake potential) GOOD BOOTS are essential.

The KENETREK boots would have been a welcome tool. Given an approaching storm, we decided to carry the goat out intact.............

Burden with a heavy load, I did not have the footwear I really needed in the rough terrain. SOLID boots are so crucial. Thanks EF for this opportunity to get such nice REAL gear!

I'm planning my first Wyoming mule deer hunt this fall in the Medicine Bow Forest. That Weatherby Vangaurd Synthetic Rifle Chambered in .257 would look fantastic strapped onto my Badlands pack.

My first western experience was guiding in the Gros Ventre Wilderness. Some of my most memorable outdoor adventures took place that summer and fall. So fortunate to have experienced it then, and am anxiously plannning my return trip, this time, I will be the mule and pack everything in on my back. The gear from Kryptek, Mystery Ranch pack, badlands sleep system would all be so helpful in building up my own personal collection of western gear. Thanks for an awesome opportunity and for all you do to help guys like me from Western Michigan get the info I need to be able to make my hunting dreams come true!!
