Since most vehicles fill their tanks on the left side of the vehicle I'll do that quite often instead of waiting for a pump to come available for my diesel truck. There will be at least one or two trucks waiting to fill on the left hand side where I can pull into the pumps, stretch the hose over the bed and fill my truck up and be gone before they even get to the pump.
