Is 34 really that great quality wise? Might try hunting the borders since I was successful drawing region Y :) :)
I've never hunted it I thought it would be a good hunt from research I did. I'm kinda happy really didn't want to pay the special price. I drew x9a hunt in California on a random so I can concentrate on that.

2 cow elk, 2 antelope, and 1 deer for me. Both elk tags were second choice in area 7. The deer tag was a bit of a long shot @ 12%. I'm quite pleased.

We got what we thought we would get. Nothing crazy just Y deer and a couple guys wanted 20-1 lope tags and they drew also. Now to sit back and wonder how many other guys are hunting Y region for deer!
We will be for first time ever to Wyoming, well one guy has been there years ago in R... Got lucky and drew Y with no points. Coming from Wisconsin as well

Since I didn't draw the doe pronghorn tags, I think I might put in for a leftover cow elk tag to go along with my buck pronghorn to try and put more meat in the freezer. Lots of options and not a lot of time to decide.

That's a pile-o-tags.

I kicked around applying for 45-1 elk but drew an AZ tag.

What did you draw in AZ?
Unit 1 archery elk with 15 points. Hunted it back in 2002 took a 340". I'll try archery for my WY lope en route, and rifle on my return drive if I don't tag out. Should be interesting.

Two party draw on lopes 67-1. Plan is to hunt last week of archery, first couple of week's of rifle. Driven through the area a couple of times but never have put boots on the ground. Need to be back in WI by 10/1, have 3 young pup's that need bird work.

I was looking forward to hunting the Greys this year as well as an Alaska Sitka hunt. The draw changed my plans, I drew area 130-1. Now I just need to pray for some early snow.

Got back from taking my son to a football camp in Texas. I was happy to see I drew all tags applied for. Region Y mule deer, Unit 21 antelope buck, 2 unit 21 doe/fawn. Got two weeks of hunting set aside.

I managed to pull my first resident type 1 tag in 8 years. Area 7-1. It's only my 5th area 7-1 tag in 20+ years! See us residents don't always get good tags very often either. No luck on deer or antelope draws for the areas i put in for. But i drew an Area 24 Bull Moose tag this year also, So moose and bull elk for me this year! Should have plenty of meat!

Congrats! 5 tags in 20 years falls right in line with the yearly average draw odds. I put in for that tag but didn't draw. Drew a type 4 instead.

Thanks. The last 2 area 7-1 tags i had were in '03 and '09. I have friends who draw 3 in a row and one guy i work with has had 5 in a row. i'm not that lucky, but on a good note all of them didn't draw this year. I told them it's their turn to sit out 8 years. I've seen and been on some big bulls up there in the past few years but never had the tag to shoot one! I was always the spectator or pack mule. Maybe it's my turn to shoot the wallhanger! Might be an expensive taxidermy bill this year if i get a big moose and a big elk! Yikes! As much as i want to bowhunt the elk, i'm not jeopardizing my moose tag to do that. It's moose first and foremost and then i will see what happens with the elk!

I was complaining about being unlucky last week, then I saw I drew my first type one tag. I applied for area 90, then a week before the deadline changed it to 130. I about passed out when I saw I drew it.

the last week of the season is usually the best. need snow to push the bigger ones out. Just be patient
