Sound like you have made up your mind but I thought I would throw out a shout for the tenzing 5000. I have had the pleasure of packing several bulls with this pack and it is pretty damn amazing. It is unbelievably comfortable when completely loaded with meat, which it will carry a full hind quarter, front quarter and both back straps in one load, boned out, if you so choose to load it this full. I did this once, with that much meat, and I don't care what pack your using because once you have that much weight it is going to be uncomfortable to some extent, but was still completely doable. Now I just choose to make one extra trip usually to save my lousy back. Also this pack will pack out a boned out mule deer, horns and cape in one trip without a problem, and still have plenty of room to spare for any gear. I now exclusively use my tenzing for all my trips whether it's one day or five days in the backcountry. The expandable meat shelf, dedicated spotting scope and tripod pockets, built in rain fly, and built in day pack to use once you are in the backcountry are all great features. I picked mine up on sale for $230, and truly would take this pack almost anywhere. Now if i were in AK hunting sheep and goats every year, where weight is such a crucial element on the bush flights, then I think that the extra money for an ultralight backpack setup may be worth it. But for me right now the tenzing will do its job flawlessly in the lower 48. Good luck.
