A former Blaine County Sheriff?s deputy has once again been denied bail after being sentenced last month to at least six years in the state penitentiary for embezzling up to $86,000 from a nonprofit organization for children over the course of six years.

Prosecutors alleged that he made unauthorized expenditures for personal use?mainly high-end hunting, camping and photography equipment?while serving as director of the Police Activities League at Wood River Middle School in Hailey, where he was also the school resource officer.

I think they should sell all of his assets to pay for his time in prison.

I heard that when a person is sentenced to prison in China that they sell their assets and the family of the person incarcerated pays for their family member to be in prison? If they dont pay they starve to death and die. I like that rule. I bet you people would behave themselves if we implemented that law.

And yes I vote thunderdome for life sentenced criminals. May the best man win.

I hate how this country protects and provides for its crooks more than it does its tax paying citizens.

Meanwhile, Back in Wyoming, the tag prices are increasing again.

I'm actually shocked he received prison time. Seems like more often than not they plead down to probation if they pay back a portion of the stolen goods.

The prison time doesnt surprise me especially when you compare it to the Rita Crundwell embezzlement case. She stole 54 million over the course of 30 years to fund her lavish lifestyle. How unfortunate!!!

I agree ,throw the book at him.

but would also say, spare the rod ,spoil the child.
or raise up a child the way they should go and they will not depart from it when mature.

they are the minority but they sure make an impact don't they?

I had a state trooper from an eastern state steal $130 worth of streamers from me , they are out there....

Name Names... Locations.

We need a police registry for all crimes some of them commit, not to mention probably 100x more crimes they cover up for one another, the brothers in blue, blue code etc... silence.
