I hope that you brought the meat home...lion is almost indistinguishable from pork. I made a batch of pulled "pork" and brought it to the trap shoot......all the men loved it, but none of the women would even get near it.

Not really much of a story.

We cut the track early in the morning and followed it across several mountain ranges.

Finally had to make a decision to go one more range and see if it came out or cut the dogs loose. We were warming up and potentially going to lose snow, but we decided to risk it and go around one more and I am glad we did. It was a really good track coming out the other side. This likely saved a lot of wasted time for sure.

Cut the dogs loose.

Went around the mountain rage and made the mile and a half hike up the canyon to get to the cat.

Took me 2 arrows to get him. Only grazed him with my first arrow as I must have hit a branch or something. I got a list of excuses...lol Second arrow got him good, and he was dead in about 5 seconds.

Coyotes have got to be the two most indiscriminate killers on the face of the earth...

We have been watching the doe for several weeks walk back and forth across the yard tending her fawns that she had hidden next to the house. We still had not seen her bring the fawns into the open.

Last night the coyotes finally found the fawns. Hopefully they only got one of them and not both.

I HATE those bastards.........

The coyotes left me this in my front yard last night.
