I was able to connect with a nice little whitetail here at home with my Muzzleloader. My brother tagged out on a really nice buck (at least for us )

My golden was barking at something over by the spring cave. Turns out it was an injured buck, couldn't get up. Finished it off and went to get it and the stench hit like a ton of bricks. He was most likely shot 2 weeks prior during the IL first firearm season. Shot his dick in half. Buck looks emancipated. Probably couldn't feed and was run down from the rut. I hauled him far away so my dog wouldn't get into it. Sad.
