A buddy and I were able to get out to Montana to deer hunt this year. I was especially excited cause I was hoping to shoot my first muley buck. The first day we passed on 2 smaller 4x4's this first hour of our hunt. Never hunting this area we wanted to see more of what's in the area before we pulled the trigger. Later that afternoon I had to make a tough choice. We found a nice WT in the middle muley country. It was just to perfect to pass up. I was able to make a perfect shot at 475 yards. I made the right choice. After hunting for another 3 days we never saw a better deer. My buddy ended up taking a 3x3 muley the last day. I guess I'll just have to go back again.Montana 2018 Deer.jpgJasons deer.jpg

Thanks to a very understanding wife, I was able to take advantage of an AZ tag someone turned in a couple of weeks before the season. A good friend accompanied me on the hunt and we were able to get it done on Halloween after 6 days of hard hunting on public land! This is a buck my cousin from Colorado shot on my property here in Nebraska. 29.5" wide. That's his grandson in the photo. Not bad for 107 acre pasture.

Basic 3x4 with small crab front on the 4. We'll get the age back later from G&F lab, mature for sure. We " manage " for 4x4 main frame, luckily. Still trying to put down a big 2 pt.

Nice buck for anywhere NE69!

Very excited! My first ever archery kill! Shot him a little back the night before and let him be over night! Went back the next morning and he was dead 10 yards from where I had last seen him! Archery is a rush!

Some really nice bucks posted. Here is my contribution, not hardly a big buck but with the deer hunting luck I had the past couple years I'll take this little guy and be thrilled!!

Hey at the end of the day they're all trophies - good job! :D
