Well I wanted the el range binos but got a deal on a pair if el from eBay I couldn't turn down. I bid on a set el range that sold for $2400 sad I didn't win them. But got these 10x42 el for $1275 hard to beat.

Nice Grant. I like the EL Range but if you don't have the newer version which those you posted were not the button for the range finder can be a pain in the neck to get use too, the newer version are more compact and fit your hands better and the range finder button is easier to use. You'll like what you got one suggestion get the Kuiu bino harness for your bino's one of the best harnesses you can get IMO. Happy turkey hunting that's just around the corner and my favorite to hunt.

Glad I didn't buy those now! I think I can sell the ones I got easily enough in couple years if I decide to go with el range.
There's a guy posted a couple tripod setups on here for sale if you noticed.
Was curious if the carbon fiber one would be steady enough with that 95mm swaro? I'm 5'10" as the seller was seemed like perfect setup. Wished I hadn't already bought gitzo head I'd buy his complete setup. He had another tripod that's a swaro but heavier I'd like to have also but I do hike in places to glass some on whitetails. Trying get one for all around situations I guess if not big difference in performance.

I have never used a carbon fiber set up with the 95mm so I cannot answer that. by the sounds of his post is should be fine even with my set up you have to hold it steady in the wind. one thing i failed to mention about the 95mm is the heat waves will affect visibility when its hot so I do have the 65mm when it gets bad.

Why does heat waves affect 95mm worse than 65mm? I glass a lot in summer not a huge problem with the 80mm.

Good question one I cannot answer, In my experiences the greater the magnification and the longer the distance the more atmospheric disturbances (heat waves as I call them) will affect the images in my spotter.

That's probably difference looking at greater distance. I know the further I look the worse the heat images get like you say. I plan to buy the 65mm also next year so I'm sure I'll be happy with it.
Thanks again!

glad I could help Grant but since you have the EL10x42 and you're getting the 65mm and 95mm objective lens you should just finish the package with a pair of their SLC 15x56 great bino's that work well on a nice tripod. :D

I use a carbon fiber tripod with a 95 mm with no issues. Best spotter on the market IMHO, I paired it with a set of El 12x50s I run off a tripod and not much can hide from me..

Ready to pull the trigger on swarovski atx 95mm looking for best prices out there.
$4,075.00 total shipping taxes included is best price I've found.
Anyone know a better price out there?

Phone Skope seems to be pretty decent.. It's available at Sportsmanship Warehouse and have options for lots of different phone manufacturers as well as different spotting scopes. I see the Swaro 95mm spotting scope has some options
