Need to recruit some strong backs and introduce them to elk hunting! I used to get invited on a lot of elk hunts in my late teens and early 20s. The older I get the more I understand what those seasoned guys were doing.
Guilty as charged ha!!!! I brought two early 20's guys with me last year when I killed my bull. They still tell stories questioning my sanity...and their own for coming with me. Both still want to hunt with me regularly.

Oddly enough....that was my first kill with a Swagger.

I have tried that, all of the younger folks that I used to take out hunting and helped get their first animals have given up hunting. They enjoyed it while someone else was helping and showing them where to go and everything but when it came down to them having to do it themselves they decided that they rather do other things. Last year I helped a young lady get her first cow elk, but since then she has discovered boys or the boys have discovered her and she is no longer interested.

So much for the younger generation.

yeah ,it is hard to keep the youngsters interested . it's just to much work .

when I was young ,hunting was (and still is) pretty much what I lived for. not so much with the millenialls
