351c.normally came in cars,is that an engine transfer you did after the rebuild?
The engine that was in the car when I bought it was a 289 small block. I had a friend that raced small block Fords and we did a swap for the Cleveland. I added a cam, roller rocker arms, 750 double pumper Holley, headers, balanced it and an aluminum flywheel. I also added electronic ignition later, not in picture.

The street rod bug never did bite me but I was into off road big time.

I used to build high performance VW engines for sand rails and at one time a friend and I were thinking of entering the Mint 400 from Las Vegas to Lake Tahoe. My friend would build the frame and I would do the engine and trans-axle and enter it into the 1600 class. But finances got into the way.

I hope that I can find the pictures somewhere. Between one divorce and two moves I haven't seen them in a long time.

Growing up in southern California, I was into cars. I used to drag race at Lions Drag strip in Long Beach, won lots of trophies in stock & gas classes. My first real hot rod was a 56 Ford PU that I put a 57 Olds J2 engine in it. 3 carbs, cam and headers and everyday driver. I also did some boat racing.

14' JavLyn with a 125 hp Merc on it. It would do close to 100 mph. Wish I still had it.

Slick ride there, great work!!

No street rods here, we prefer the water. Maybe once Im too old to slalom ski I?ll trade the boat for a vette or something along those lines.

Thanks CC, I’ve won a lot of sand drag races with that in the last couple decades. Is a consistent 4.00 second in 100 yards at nearly 90mph
It has a 1969 aluminum head 427 with a ford top loader 4 speed
