Anybody use this hat? If so which one Original or Rancher for a November elk hunt.

Rancher. If I remember right it has bigger ear flaps. Great hat!

I use the regular I have 3 and usually where one all winter while working, I didn't like the larger ear flaps of the rancher, but I have black, blaze and camo all original ones an I love them I find a wild rag and the hat and I'm warm as can be. They are very waterproof but can get a little heavy when wet otherwise they're comfy


If you get meat from the store then dont criticize me for having the courage to go out and kill my own meat

I use the regular one. Cabala's has an exclusive on the Gore Tex original. I have one of each, and the Gore Tex model feels considerably warmer.

I have a camo Stormy Kromer with a gortex liner. I use it on colder big game and upland hunts as well as in the duck blind. The ear flaps could be a little larger for my oversized ears. Overall a Great hat!

I have a got-tex rancher, love the over sized ear flaps when out on the quad in bitter cold, like the looks of the regular but that flap covers everything from my ears back on the rancher. They are very warm hats.

I use mine, it's just the original. I use it and a silk scarf and I'm good to go

I've been using an original Stormy for 30 years+, no complaints. I treat mine with ScotchGard waterproofing, works great.

I didn't buy a name brand SK. I did get one for my kids though. If I happened to "lose" mine I'd buy the regular.

It is one brand that has as much user loyalty as anything I've ever seen.

I threw mine away after many years of use. Bought a new one. Then I discovered you dry clean them.

I wear the rancher for work all winter long I've got big ears and it doesn't take much for them to get cold so I switched to the rancher since the flaps are a tad bigger. I'm about to buy another blaze one. Lost my old orange one last winter here in Oklahoma during the bonus antlerless season.
