I use a couple Cabela's Dry Sacks that have a deflating valve to let air out at the bottom when rolling the top shut. I use these to make sure clothing is stored scent free and it was very surprising how many cloths actually fit in a bag when you can compress all the air out. I also use plastic totes for stack ability for organization.

I had bought the land way before I retired. A year before I actually pulled the plug, contracted with a builder to build the garage/rv barn. When he was done, I started hauling my shop stuff from California to Colorado. Once we actually retired, we moved everything and stored it all in the garage and lived in our rv while they were building our new house.
Worked out well, but you know how men are....give them lots of garage/shop room and they will find a way to fill it!! LOL

Oh man, am I jealous, CC. We downsized four years ago from a house with a half basement and tons of storage and I sure do miss that room.

You guys have some great caves. I have one bedroom downstairs that is my reloading room and my man-cave. All of my stuff is in this room although it's not very large, it works pretty well. The stairs is in this room and I framed in the area under the stairs and put a door on it. That relative large area holds quite a bit of stuff that otherwise who knows where it would end up. All my rifle cases, sleeping bags, tent, stuff sacks, gun safe, and the list goes on is in this area.
