still packing

i was up shed hunting last week and found a really nice bull elk that is still packing his antlers. i have been going up everyday to check on him waiting tell he drops so i can go pick them up. i have seen about 5 elk still packing. is everyone else still finding elk with horns?

They are up here in McCall. So cold this year its driving me crazy. Had two days off, wanted to hit the hills, and its only rained and snowed both days.

Saw an oddball spike 2 days ago that still had his strange "T" top on one side and a regular spike on the other.

They started dropping here at the end of March. Here is my best find from this year. 330 ish bull. Could'nt match him up.

well the bull i had been watching for about two weeks finally dropped. i went in on saturday and found one side then went up today and found the matching side to it along with another 6 point elk shed that im going to be making more trips up there to find

Saw one small 6 point bull still packing on Sunday in southern Utah. Counted some 40+ other bulls who had already dropped, some with new growth over a foot long.

Nice finds 300Wetherby, its hard to tell on score without some reference, but I would say 310-320

I saw a couple bulls still packing last week and a couple big bulls that already had 14'' of new horn 2 weeks ago. It is time to start looking for sheds

I'll be going again this Saturday, but two weekends ago I found a small moose shed and saw elk still packing a 4 point rack. Also saw the making of a nice buck with growth about 4 inches going straight out.

nice sheds, I've found a few mulie sheds this year and its kinda funny but both antlers were side by side like he just nodded his head and they fell off !

Went turkey hunting tonight and saw three bulls with velvet and one spike still packing his old antlers.
