What are your thoughts on Steens Mountain?

Just be careful all those wind turbines don't slice you and take ear buds to block out the constant drone

I saw pics of a few mediocre to nice bucks that were killed down there this year but no real wall hangers. Overall populations are way down along with all of SW Oregon due to a predator pit situation caused by an abundance of cougars.

Bottom line is it isn't worth the amount of points it takes to draw the tag but that is more or less across the board when it comes to Mule Deer in Oregon. The good news is it is incredible country and you stand a good chance of spotting a cougar to kill....

I wouldn't waste points on it unless you are elk hunting. More elk down there now than deer.
