Quick question to you experienced archers, if you have a small area that has 5-6 good shooter bucks (22"-26" wide, 17"-24" tall) would you hunt these bucks everyday or give them breaks??? I attempted a stalk with some friends on 3 shooters and one small buck opening day, but we took too long to get there and the bucks had moved to a more shaded area without us seeing them. I may have bumped them later, but there is no telling. I would have gone back after them the next morning, but my buddy wanted to give them a break. Since it was his discovered spot, I complied.

What say you????

I hunt the same spot. Like yesterday I blew a stalk on a 160's 4 point. I went right back there today and where I had walked was a 185-190" 4 point and a 175" 5x4. As long as they aren't spooked to bad I usually find them in the same spots.

Last year I bumped a buck I had been hunting out of his bed and found him in the same spot the next day. My old man told me sometimes a buck will double back at night and be in the same spot if it is the first time he was bumped. I like to give a spot a day or 2 if I booger up a spot but I have a couple of good back up spots that make that easy to do. I guess my point is I have hunted a spot both ways and been successful.

Thanks fellas for your input, my feelings are basically the same. Heading back up there today after work to see if I can close the deal tomorrow morning. Taking a different buddy for his cow elk though. If we see elk and no bucks then I will help him, but if we see both, I am heading towards the deer and he can go after the elk.

Thanks Again.
