I'm in need of a new pair of boots for spring turkey season in the midwest, fall deer bowhunting, and something I can wear out west (primarly plains, no mountains). No need for any insulation, but water repellant at least is needed. (Small creek crossing, dewy fields, rain, etc). I do occasionally need to scale some bluffs, but that's not a primary use.

I would prefer us made (does anyone do that anymore?)
~$300 price range (on the high end, ideally closer to sub $250).

Thanks for any help!

Danner has a USA made line-up that is really nice. Their "East Ridge 8" Brown" boot that is uninsulated, waterproof and utilizes their new lacing system. (I have not tried yet)

After more research, it is made in the U.S.A but does utilize imported components. Saddening a bit, however, the American flag is stitched as a tag on the side. Msrp is $240 but it can be found for cheaper on the line. Lol
