I?m interested in a spring black bear hunt with a member here on the forum. Not just finding a partner to go with but going with someone who routinely hunts black bears in the spring and has had some success. Would consider any western state. Tags would need to be over the counter.

I would in exchange be willing to help out with a Colorado hunt or other activity. Open to just about anything. If you?re interested, let?s talk and see what we can work out!

Here?s my disclaimer... I?m a Christian guy who plays by the rules. A beer in camp is fine but not to many. Not fond of foul mouths or questionable ethics and or behavior. Figured I?d better say that upfront. Thanks!

I bait bears in Southern Wyoming only a few miles from the Colorado border. While we may not be able to hunt together, I would be willing to talk you through the process. Where do you live in Colorado? Would it be feasible for you to drive to Southern Wyoming weekly in the spring to setup and tend baits? Bear baiting requires a big time commitment.

Thanks for the reply. Definitely something to think about. I’ll send you a PM later to discuss.

Right on, thanks for reaching out. I love doing trade hunts but rarely have time to do them any more for our traditional hunting seasons in the West. I am doing a public land trade hunt this spring in New Zealand. Pretty stoked! However I am planning on hunting Colorado for elk in the next year or two so feel free to send me a pm. I have lots of bear spots in Montana and Wyoming. I do not bait (can't in MT) I don't hunt Montana much anymore but I can send you into my old spots if you're interested in swapping info.

I spring bear hunt in OR, mostly in two different units. One is pretty much a guarantee draw the other takes 1pt. If you are interested in hearing about them or seeing some pics, drop me a private message I'd be glad to visit with you about options. Trade hunts are a cool way to go. Thanks, Bob E.

CoHiCntry I plan to put more time into bear hunting this season here in Wyoming, maybe we can work something out in the future as I am interested in learning a good third season or early archery deer area in Colorado. I have only slope hunted bears a couple weekends in the past only to see sows, cubs and one boar out of range, but I haven't invested the time this year I plan to change that.
