I drew my 2nd as north cascades this year,,,close to home, but finding bears seem to be sparse, hopefully the low to none snow pack will be an advantage this spring in the cascades.

I picked up a SW tag earlier, and my wife got a Wilson-Trask tag as a second choice. Planning to do a mentored hunt with my daughter with my tag, and hoping for a few drives up in the woods with my wife. I rarely see bears in the Trask unit, but it's good for some time spent prowling around. I've never hunted the SW tag, but I've got some friends who will help me out.

And, preference points preserved for something cool next year!

If I'm not mistaken, don't big boars usually come out first?
I think you are correct on that in fact here on the coast big boars don't usually den at all and are up and around all winter on nice days. They do seem to be more active early in the season usually but little bears are out too.

I posted my first ever bear hunt video on the general hunting board on here. Check it out if you haven't yet and let me know what you think I did right and what I did wrong. I appreciate the feedback! Want to get to a level of making videos that are enjoyable to watch.
