Put it in your buddies pack. lol

That's what good friends are for.

I've seen spotters come in handy under 300yds when you can't pick out the right deer bc of blending in too well with the backdrop. It's not a mistake I plan to have happen twice.

Binos and spotters really serve two different purposes. Found many a deer, some close when I switch from binos to spotter. I can't imagine going on a hunt like that without it. Patient glassikng with a spotter can turn up deer others simply glass and walk by.

Take it. Loose 3 lbs and its a wash. Doing this myself. Loose the weight to bring what you need to make a successful hunt. I have a leopold 12x40 that's a little heavier than I like. Your plan might change and you could be a drainage over by day 3. There's a lot to miss even in a drainage you think you've seen every animal.

This topic can be beaten to death a thousand times and no 2 people will ever agree....its all personal preference. Some of us are to young and dumb to realize that the weight is to great.....or.......are we dumb.??? We can cover a lot of ground with out hiking as much. That being said, hunt like you want to. Time behind the glass is time we'll spent. My kowa prominar never leaves my pack. Nor does my canon g7x. Between those to I can glass for hours and take photos of multiple bucks or bulls and decide later which direction I should go.
