Hello hunters,

I was lucky enough to draw my SD Hills archery elk tag. Southern unit, H3. Any advise for a first time SD Hills archery hunter?

Sept 1st-Sept 30th

i didnt draw mine but that is going to be awesome, i will check with my neighbor about that unit he is a state game warden and i will see what he has to say about it. congrats on the tag. i live in mobridge if looking for someone to help you out of need someone to go with let me know. Good luck

Congrats. Be prepared for longer shots. Ran into a couple guys last year that had a bull at 50 yards but he was only comfortable out to 30 and let him walk. He made the right decision but I'm sure it was tough.
