Here are some not so great pics of a great buck or the only buck I hunted in 2012. I hunted him 20+ days that season but was not able to get him. Had my bow drawn on him once and all he had to do is take one more step and I could have gotten a shot but that is the way it goes. Yes that is a bout a 8" dropper on the passenger side as well as numerous kickers on each side. These pics were from Late July and he just got bigger after these pics were taken. He still haunts my dreams....

Thank you, for sharing your truly remarkable pictures with us. Scenery is spectacular and that last set of pictures, of that huge drop tine buck, stirs me to the core. I may have to find the funds to buy a Colorado Landowner Tag!

Thanks and I am fortunate to live close enough to the hills that I can hike 5 days a week at 11k+ starting in July to get in shape. My 85mm zeiss spotter, tripods, camera(s), and the lot weigh a fair amount but it gets me in shape and I enjoy it. Nothing better than a warm cup of coffee at 5am taking pics of the sunrise in a down puffy before you head to the valley floor and trade the puffy for flip flops. Yea I cant wait for July!

The pics are just what I run into. Man yea that buck gave me fits the only time I got close I walked up on him in his bed. I never saw him again after the 2012 season and trust me I looked hard. Wonder what ever happened to him.

This was the peak year for this buck and I believe that he died of old age as the last time I saw him he had gone way down hill and did not look like he would make it through the winter.

Hey. ColoradoV. You should get a tinesup scope cam adapter! go check it out. It is lightweight and with the right camera u could improve the clarity of those awesome photos. Www.tinesup.com

A lot of them were taken with a older tines up adapter and camera but a few were taken with a camera I got before that. The drop buck was a normal camera. I do like the tines up adapter and some of these pics are taken at distances of a mile and a half or more.

Here are a few more that I took with the tines up set up. Sure hope to see this guy again this year as I think he will get a lot bigger this year.

Well happy trails to you all and good luck in the draws.

I had a bunch of fun adding pics and hope you guys enjoyed them. Now if July would just get here so that it is time to go out and get some more!

On this last set I thought I would add some success pics. I have not cut a deer tag since 2011 but my wife was able to take her first ever deer this year. We had a great hunt, it was good to see her find success on her first year and be able to harvest her first ever big game animal.

Also this is the last buck I have been fortunate enough to take and it was in archery of 2011 it is right at 29" wide with a couple of kickers you cant see. I feel that this year will be a good one for me and I may have to step up my game since the wife started to hunt!
