Yes. Used it a few times. It works great! I can't think of many cons. Pros are light weight, water resistant, added warmth, protects your bag, weighs almost nothing and could save your life in a bind.

I know lots of folks that carry them as a "just in case bivi". If they get in too deep and the weather changes or they get something and don't want to trek out that same night. They are extremely lightweight, my only concern would be the durability/longevity of the bivi itself for long term use.

I used one in an unexpected snow storm (inside a leaky tent). I was glad I had it. It does conserve heat. Water resistant but not water proof. Seems to breathe pretty well also. I carry it in my day pack just in case.
