Snow!!!!

Been cloudy and cool all day today, was 48 this am at 5:30. Started raining about 3:00 and we got about an inch here. Cleared off an hour ago and the La Platas have snow. Looks like quite a bit down to 10,000' or so. Been a few years since I have seen snow in August!

Even down here in Denver it felt like fall today! It is definitely a different year weather wise! Hopefully the cooler temps will get the elk fired up!

Its starting to really feel like fall here too. Been getting up before 5 to haul grain to the river and its alot cooler at 5:30 when I start the truck now then it was 2 weeks ago and alot darker too. Had to use lights this week and didnt before.

Man I'm in St Louis and it is a scorcher!! Got an outdoor wedding at 1:00. Think it's supposed to be 99° with heat indexes to reach 108° or better.

Thank goodness my wife got through to Bozeman on the way back town. The first snow on the roads brings out the worst drivers, at least here it does.

You guys think this will affect animals? While driving to work this morning with a coat on I sat there wondering if this cool summer weather would kick the antelope rut in sooner than usual. If all I had to go by was weather I'd think it was late Sept.

It was a tropical 106 in Kandahar yesterday, does the routt national forest get much snow in October?
