has been a hard winter thus far, worries me a bit that the numbers of deer that usually show up haven't. instead of seeing 500 plus deer I'm seeing half that. the elk that have showed up are in much higher numbers than in past years though, I think due to the henry creek fire. not sure where all the deer are though. Fish cop I talked with yesterday getting the permit to harvest the dead deer said he's expecting a harsh winter kill. we will see.

been coughing up my lungs last week or so, so I ain't been out any more then I absolutely have to. don't think I could walk a hundred yards right now if my life depended on it.think maybe I am starting to improve though.

get better and get out! you guys getting hit as hard over on your side of the state? another storm is hitting right now as we speak. sent all the kids home an hour after being there. seems like all these storms that they predict 1 to 2 inches we've been getting 5inches to a foot! blizzard outside with wind shields below zero, tonight its gonna drop like a rock. was on my way to hills this morn and decided to turn around, its just to nasty out.
we got about 7-8 inches last night. which is a lot for us for one storm. showing tommorrows high at 9 and lows -11.
generally would have the drive cleared by now but it's gonna have to wait till I can stand without leaning on something.
thankfully there is no where I need to be for next week or so, so hopefully will have time to recoup.

Look on the bright side, it's -30 in west Yellowstone right now. That's just brutal!
They are also calling for 1-3" of snow here friday night to Saturday morning. That's crazy. Will have to see to believe.

You better get that 4wd working. It appears that y'all are gonna have a long DEEP winter.
