BKC,
This is Stan; we met up in the campground last summer.
I didn't see this posting until today but I recognized the photos from last year. You sent them to me after your hunt and the email got dropped from our work server because I didn't save them soon enough. What a nice bull. I'm happy for you and only hope that I can "follow in your footsteps" so to speak.
I had to send my tag back in last year but I drew it again this year.
I scouted over the 4th of July last weekend and it was great! I saw a dozen bulls in 2-1/2 days and most of them were bigger than my biggest bull to date. The best was a solid 6x6 with a 7th point on his right side just starting. I showed multiple photos of him to a buddy who is pretty good at field scoring and he said he was a 360 class bull. And he's still growing!
I'll try to keep in contact with you and keep you up to date on how things are going.
I'd love to talk more about where I'm focusing on scouting and get your advice.
Take care,
Stan

Clay, Glad to see you had a good scouting trip. Saw the picture of the bull on the other thread. That will be a good bull to have. Good luck. Keep me posted on your hunt.

BKC, Looking forward to your pix in Sept. Wish I could help, but I have only hunted bulls there. I did see a lion at 15 feet and lots of bear sign, but they were probably denning up in Nov. You probably have a good guess on where to go and what to look for as a food source. If I remember right, it took you a bunch of points to draw that tag and I am sure you will do fine. Lots of luck and looking forward to your story and pix!
