Here is a goofy buck my son got a few years back. We had him aged and scored. To give some perspective, his longest side is a bit under 14". [/QUOTE]
That's the buck I'd shoot. What was his age?
ODFW aged him at 8 1/2 years old. He was a buck they had watched for quite a few years, apparently when younger, he was huge. He helped colonize a new area and they only saw him near the rut, never found him otherwise that anyone knows. They gave a few youth tags out in his area and told the landowner if anyone ever got him, they wanted a tooth. He's pretty much lost his prongs and is on his way down, but has mass all over. It reminded me of a heavily broomed old sheep as far as a trophy goes. That's the buck I'd shoot. What was his age?
I'll guess 84' also. I'm going with everyone else. Man, that's a beautiful mount!
It's a lot harder to tell without the ears to me. You say he's small but I'll bet he goes close to 70"here is a small one
Mine went right about 79" If i remember right...I wish he broke the 82 mark! he was about 15.5" tall on both and had good mass throughout. . I missed a buck right at the end of season last year that was definitely in the mid 80s class...luckily I have the same tag again this season!Alright guys who shared pics on page 1; let's hear the scores. I want to see how far off I am lol.
Thanks everyone- This is my second favorite mount. He scored 82" even after the drying period.
