I bowhunt a lot for whitetail in Virginia. I got the idea to take my bow out to wyoming for the first couple of days of rifle season in October and then use the rifle if it doesnt work out for me. Do any of you guys that hunt both use the same setup for mule deer and whitetail? Same broadhead, arrow, etc? I figured running the same setup would be fine, but wanted to check just in case. I know ill need to wear orange during rifle season.

I live in WY and use my set-up for everything. I only shoot 65lbs at 27.5 with a 440 grain arrow and coc Magnus Buzzcut broadhead. Zips thru elk like they're made of butter. Using a bow that you can shoot accurately and is tuned well is the key IMO. Also taking high percentage shots helps.

Just remember that mule deer like whitetails are not hard to kill. They may take some killing but the same setup should work just fine.
