Hello guys,heading to saint george area next month ,wanted to do a little scouting for deer since I'm up there?anybody could point me in the right direction or some helpful advice would be much appreciated!

Axis deer hunting is done on 3 islands Lanai which is mostly public land from feb-April.and maui,Molokai which is mostly privite.all three islands has alot of nice deer . I'm pretty sure the privite land you can hunt year round .Lanai there's no draw for archery or muzzle but there is a random draw for riffle .double check with Hawaii fish & game sometimes they change the rules .archery is pretty challenging on public land but not impossible! Oh,if didn't know we also have mouflon sheep , feral sheep,Spanish goat ,pigs which we hunt year round.checkout u tube for some good Hawaii hunting action!!

Great info...thanks. I took a nice Mouflon on Hawaii on Mauna Loa years ago. Fun hunt....It was crazy leaving the warm weather on the coast, then hunting in mountain weather. I'd love to hunt Axis deer some day.
