Been out a few times looking for bucks in the rut. Found a few smaller ones. This guy is biggest so far. Nice buck, but I'm a little bummed nothing bigger has turned up. Snowing today, so maybe it will bring the big guys out.

nice. I know he's not huge but there is something about those 150-160class bucks that are totally typical with a 4 frame that just does it for me. just doesn't get much prettier than that

That's what I was thinking, good next year, great year after. He is on public land now, but stays on private that isn't hunted most of the time. I am sure this is the same buck I saw a couple of times in July about a mile away and much higher. Same drainage though. Was running with a 4 x 3 almost as good as he is.

I was guessing this guy to be upper 140s, maybe 150. But you are right, they are the prettiest thing out there.
