Hey guys, I'm headed to wy in a week. Can anyone give me an update on how the bulls are acting. Heard any bugles yet, or are they still silent? Thank you and best of luck.

not much activity yet, they are starting to talk a little but they are still split up pretty goo. some bulls are starting to gather cows

been up since Monday in the mountains, wallows just started getting hit on Wednesday, some singing going on but only in early morning late evening and some during night, no fancy singing just location calls and letting the others no that their summertime friendship is about to come to an abrupt end. seen some real dandy bulls. did see a couple 5 poins with cows but as far as I could tell they were just feeding in same area, my buddy called me from top of mountain yesterday and said he glassed two nice bulls wallow right next to each other, ive never seen that, would've been cool, I head back on Monday until 20th. good luck everyone!

Just got back from fishing in the Snowies. I was up at the top, only herd a few bugle South of Hwy 130 late at night/early morning.
Full moon was crazy bright and the afternoon hail/thunderstorms took my focus away from looking for animals.

Got back today to check on the mrs, headed back up tomorrow, found a,315 bull had one cow, no talking whatsoever
Headed up tomorrow for a week in the Snowy range, anything good going on up there? Was up for labor day weekend, but didn't hear much, just seen a few feeding before dark.

i was in wyoming this past week and i guess they were bugling a little before i got there, but for the 7 days i was there i heard nothing. Just got back last night

Have not heard an elk yet. There is a gentleman bugling every 5 minutes from sun up till noon every Saturday and Sunday thus far. Hoping for a weather system to move in and get things fired up. I'll be up there Thursday thru Monday.

Just over the border for the past week and only a little " locker room" chatter first thing in am. Guessing weather next week will fire em up?

No reports of bugling here. A buddy was out first of the week and came on a 6pt. bull tending a cow, he only had a deer tag so only watched. Said bull was real interested but no bugle.

Unfortunately not, it all started with my bow not making the trip thanks to American Airlines! Was gonna post a quick story later.....
I was going to head up today, but decided to wait till tomorrow then I might benefit from the cool down on Tuesday. Get camp set, pull trail camera cards, then sit on a water hole Monday night. Hopefully wake up to bugles Tuesday!

Bulls are going crazy here in the black hills of Wyoming. I know of 2 7x7s shot in area 1. one was recovered and one not. Took my girls out to hear bugles and walked about 100 yards from truck and had them bugling. Too bad I have cow tag. They have been going strong since the opener here. Mostly smaller bulls I'm sure. Cant wait to get back out there.
