rubber boots for bowhunting

i had a pair of all rubber boots that i used for just bowhunting because they all rubber and scent free and my question is do i need to get an all rubber pair or can i use my muck boots that i have used for work they are rubber up about 6 inches and the rest is neoprene will that work or does that neoprene hold scent really bad?

None of those rubber boots are scent free. When I was younger, we had a beagle pup, that wasn't more than a year old, trail my dad right to his treestand, an hour after he left the cabin. She lost the trail right under the tree, and started making wider and wider circles, until she came right back to the tree, and looked up to finally find him.. He was wearing all rubber Northerner Boots

All that being said, Muck boots are far and away the best rubber boot out there, in my opinion.

I agree they are pretty awesome for mud, snow, etc. I have worn mine hunting, but they are pretty heavy for walking very far. My dad likes to quote the movies and say "grow stronger". I don't know how well they hold sent or if those scent away sprays would help much, but they are good boots for me, too.

About 15 years ago A sales rep I knew had some display boots he wanted me to try so I did. They were Le Chameau Leather-Lined Men's Chasseur boots. I know I said the same thing french boots?? your kidding right!! Well these boots are still the only boots I wear deer hunting today. They are the most comfortable well made rubber boot I have ever worn. They still look pretty new even after 15 years. They are expensive but they are worth the coin. I think I pd $300 for them back then with a discount. Dont know what they run today.
