I will be elk hunting near Creede Co. this September. I plan on doing a little fishing on the trip. Can anyone tell me if there are walleye in the Rio Grande reservoir,or anywhere in the Creede area?

That's mostly trout country, don't know of any lakes with Walleyes.

Don't think there are any wallies near there but I know they are in Rifle Gap and some of the other, smaller west slope reservoirs (Jerry Creek Res. is another).

If you have the time, might be better to hit up Blue Mesa and get in on the lake trout and kokanee.

I also drew a muzzy tag this year for unit 76. I live in Durango so very familiar with the area. any lake, creek, stream will have fish (trout) in it. the rio is a fun river to float and fish!!
