Thanks. Sent you a PM.I could tell you some spots you might run into to some deer?
There are still some good bulls there, just gotta get off the beaten path.My brother and I both drew 622-20 tags for this season. We've both had them before, but I'm not too sure what's left in there for really good bulls. That unit's a lot different from years ago. We'll see.
We always take the horses, so we stay pretty far from the beaten path. The first tag I had in there was in 1994. I was young and dumb and walked all the way in to the tip of U.L. Bend and killed a nice 6x7 old bull. I don't really remember worrying about what I would do. Luckily there were some guys I had talked to the evening before that had horses and they heard me shoot, and actually left a horse with me to pack that bull out with! I'd still be in there eating on that old bull! Guys if you are reading this, I am forever in your debt, and have made sure to repay the gesture every chance I have had! There are still some good bulls there, just gotta get off the beaten path.
We hunted it in 2012 for elk and it was a stuggle, you'll see thousands sitting on blue ridge adventures land and be sad.
