I hear that that can be a good tag. Some of the biggest blacktails in Oregon come from that area.

Yes it is a real good tag with nearly perfect dates. But they generally don't come easy. They are like the Chuker of deer to me, they can drive a sane man nuts. I'm convinced a WT is an easier quarry, at least they have been for me. I hope he gets a whopper!

My boss's wife drew the Melrose premium deer tag. They live in the Melrose Unit so she can hunt it almost everyday if they want.

The GF got a Beulah buck tag as well. Hopefully its better than last year. Deer were scarce and people were everywhere. Had a couple big burns that forced a lot of people to the same area.

i am a total bust for tags this year so everything will be OTC. good thing about this though will be home to try around local to some extent at least for deer anyway.

My buddy drew the Walla Walla big bull tag with 2 points. What a score. He is getting plenty of volunteers to help. I figure that is about as good as any of those premium tags.
