Anything I should check out while I'm in Y? Hunting antelope unit 21...may head north(er) if we tag out early. Resturaunts. sights, etc? I did see some cool historical stuff people had posted on google earth such as old west hideouts and dilapidated ranches. I love that stuff!

Outlaw Cave, where Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid hung out. This is of course in the middle of some BLM land so you will have to work around hunters.

The Invasion Bar in Kaycee has some good hearty food, gotta try the mountain oysters (or whatever they call them there). The other place to eat is the hotel, it has good food to but I cannot remember the name.

Head north to Buffalo and you have the outdoor store, the Sports Lure. It has all kinds of maps, lots of cool gear you dont need but think you do and some nice taxidermy work. Buffalo has a McDonalds, so once you get your craving for modernized food you can get your fix there. Once in Buffalo you can drive up into the Big Horns and check out the high country or drive over the mountain and head to Yellowstone or drive to Thermopolis Hot Springs to soak in the mineral baths! Buffalo also has a few liquor stores so you can grab some good local brews of the Mountain West.

You can drive further North and go to Sheridan. The regions Game and Fish office is located there.

Cody is a long way from unit 21. If you go back to Ohio by way of I-90 stop in the Black Hills of SD for a day or two and see Deadwood, Mount Rushmore, and Custer State Park.

Cody is awesome, but it is a far ways off kinda, I mean if you already drive 1500 miles whats another couple hundred right?

The Black Hills of SD are pretty nice too! Mt Rushmore is an American must, plus you have the Badlands where you will see Merriam turkey, Big Horn Sheep and Bison. Deadwood you could win all your money back or loose what little you have left, then on your way out of town you got Wall...the biggest and most well known tourist trap this world has ever known!

There is also Jewel Cave in the Black Hills.

The Sports Lure is one of my favorite sporting goods stores anywhere. Also if you make it all the way up to Sheridan check out Sanford's Pub and Grub, and the Mint Bar. Sheridan has a really cool mainstreet area, with great shops to pick up something for the significant other. Probably one of my favorite towns in WY.

Sheridan is a cool town and where my best hunting buddy lives. I also love Sports Lure and think it's about the best of any small shops I've ever been in anywhere in the US.

I really want to go to Kings Saddlery next time I go through Sheridan. I always seem to be going through there at the wrong time of day or night I guess. lol There is an old really interesting looking steakhouse in downtown Buffalo. I forget the name and I was there before it was open but its not hard to find. I ate at the cafe next to it and it was really good!
