me and a buddy are non residents and headed to unit 106 for mule deer the last 10 days in October. this is out first time In the unit and we've done some research and have maps of everything but still have no real direction of where to start or anything like that. if anyone feels kind enough to give us any info on hunting 106 that would be much appreciated. not looking for specific spots or your favorite migration trails to sit over, just some general info on the unit.

Do you have HMA access permits ?
Be patient, the last few days of Oct. the deer will start to get into pre rut and bigger bucks will start showing up. You might also see a whitetail buck you can't pass up.
Don't be afraid to hunt the breaks away from the forest, no grizz.
You have a whole region to hunt so don't be set on just 106.
Some folks here hunt the Sunlight Basin area so hopefully they will weigh in on pressure for 106.
