Range Day CDS Testing

Just got done testing out my CDS dial from Leupold on my 6.5-300WBY. Even though it’s set for 8000’, here at 2000 this morning I was ringing steel consistently at 300, 500 & 600yds.....I’d say it’s on. Now I reload and wait, 12 days and counting.

I really like my CDS scopes.

We ( wife and I) keep it simple. For all of our hunting ( mice to moose), we have only one hunting rifle.....one cartridge, one zero, one bullet. Her’s is a .338 WM, with 225 Barnes TTSX’s @ 2950. Mine, a .375AI, with Barnes250 TTSX’s @ 3130. Both rifles are wearing 3.5-10 Leupold with the CDS system, zero’d @ 300 yards. We got the 3.5 - 10’s about 6 or 7 years ago. The rifles, except for minor load changes, have been the same for over 25 years. memtb

I always had good luck with CDS on Leupold scopes but switched to MOA a few years back.

I'm not smart enoguht to use mills. I need numbers 1-6 with 25 yard hash markers in between the numbers... lol

Struck out this year. Area was full of sign apparently from the rut, so I’m hoping to head back for archery 2020.
