Thank you very much gentleman.

That little bull taking the nap had a bud with him about 5 yards away. Those 2 showed some great little tidbits of personality you don't generally see.

First, thanks for all the nice comments. Its appreciated.

As to camera equipment, I'm using a Nikon D40 DSLR with a 18-55mm lens and a 55-200mm lens. Wife and I are saving our pennies to buy a really good long distance lens.

As far as my ammo in the .270 I have been using nothing but 150 gr. Nosler Partitions. No complaints and have yet to find one in any of the elk I've shot with them.

Very cool slayer. You must be getting pretty close for some of those pics, with a 200mm lens max. You're setting up a tripod? Are all of these from the same area of CO?

We are close. All of the elk pics were taken over the last couple years in Rocky Mountain National Park. Its a photographers dream and I am not aware of anywhere else in this state a guy could get that close. The rams were also in RMNP.

The moose and the scenery shot were taken where I elk hunt. They are sure taking over the valleys up there and seem to be everywhere. I never did get a shot of one Shiras Bull that had to have been well inside the record books. I wished I would have packed my camera on those days.
