In August I'll be driving home from a reunion in Waterloo, Iowa. I want to stop in Casper, Wyoming to see a friend before heading home to Colorado. Looks like US 20 is almost a straight shot, with most of it in Nebraska. Whats it like?

I'll be driving my F350 diesel towing a 26' travel trailer and staying in rv parks.

I know it well. Great choice for driving. Almost no traffic out there. Small town every 30 miles or so.

There is a nice rest stop just West of Lusk. Next good stop is Ft Robinson in Crawford, NE. Great place to spend a night. Where Crazy Horse died and a lot of western history took place, not much has changed there. Hay Springs, Gordon, Rushville, etc.. are pretty small. Next decent town is Valentine. Grab a Runza in Chadron or Valentine.

I highly recommend staying a night at Ft Robinson State Park. One of the neatest places to stay and it's never busy.

Be cautious about some small towns as many are directly across from the reservations in SD.

I usually take 90 or 80 across to get to WY, depending on where I'm headed; may need to check this route out. [emoji106]
