What do ya all think of the QAD Exodus broadhead? It is touted to fly like a field point. The video of it being repeatedly shot through a steel 55 gal drum shows it is tough. Not overpriced. 1-1/4" cutting diameter. Low profile, compact design seems like it would have a low drag coeficient.
Personally all of my heros seem to use the G5 Montec. Im a newbie to bowhunting and I need to decide on a broadhead for elk. Im pretty sure I want to go fixed. Although for Turkey season coming up I might consider an expandable to get a larger cutting diameter for use on the birds.

I have no idea about Colorado but it appears to me they are illegal in Oregon since the rear of the blade is barbed. They say on their website they have both barbed and unbarbed but it sounds like even the unbarbed one doesn't meet the requirements here.

For what it's worth I switched to Slick Trick XL's last year and was really impressed with them.

You cant beat the G5 Montec broadhead accurate as all get out just last seson had clean pass through on deer and bear deer was bear 60 yards great broadhead and for elk i would definitely stick with fixed and not mechanical

Joe,
I cant find anything that says these would be off limits here in CO. What shafts are you using with your Slick Tricks?

Thanks Cali hunter for the reassurance of the G5 Montec. So many people swear by them. How much effort did you put into perfect allignment with the fletching?
