Hello All,

I am a young, native Californian, avid hunter, trying to plan for the future... and requesting assistance!

I hunt Utah yearly with a party for Deer-archery or rifle, and since I already have purchased the hunting license usually apply for "points only" in all other species.

I also buy a California license (obviously) and Arizona license and apply "points only" for a few species in AZ.

I apply for "points only" in Wyoming during the summer time, without purchasing a license, which is awesome!

My question: What other states can you solely apply for points without purchasing a license? Colorado, Nevada, Idaho, New Mexico, etc etc.

It seems a year or so ago I found a list somehwere, maybe in huntinfool or something where it listed which states require you to purchase a hunting license in order to apply for points, and which DO NOT. But can't seem to locate that on the internet. I know I can go digging through each states big game guide, but just trying to save some time here.

If someone could help me out and point me in the right direction to obtaining this kind of information "cheat sheet" it would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks!

Colorado but you have to send in the money for tag fee even to apply for points only. They send it back after the draw minus the point fee. ID and NM do not have points systems. You have buy a license in NV. Not sure about Montana, Washington, or Oregon
