I took my kids and grandson for a long weekend vacation to go tarpon fishing in Puerto Rico. Just for something different we hunted Iguana with air rifles for a day.

Had an amazing time taking around 50 in just over 5 hours. They're supposed to send us some meat but so far haven't come through. Was looking forward to trying it.

If you don't hit them square in the head is like nothing happened at all. Tough buggers. My 8 year old grandson did great.

Looks like a cool hunt and would be quite fun.

So are you going to get one mounted?
They were supposed to send 3 heads along with the meat. I was going to do a few Euros. Unfortunately they didn't come through. Said it was easier to send vacuum sealed n frozen.

I've never hunted them, but I have eaten iguana before. Good stuff, tastes like chicken.

I remember seeing Iguanas being sold in the market down in Yucatan. I never got to eat any so I don't know what they taste like. My uncle who lived there liked to eat the eggs fresh out of the Iguana.
