This is great news!

Yes yes yes, however, for example the state of Colorado vilifies the oil and gas sector openly in their big game winter range and migration report by putting pictures of gas rigs and deer stuck in the mud.....I loved that one...

The old "We will gladly take the royalty money from your drilling activities to improve habitat and fund projects, but we still plan on trying to shut you down and vilify you every step of the way".....

All while still continuing to allow millions of sheep and cattle graze openly on our public lands destroying the winter range (There is a small piece in there about them working with landowners to reduce this impact...) This is a main contributing reason deer and elk are starving out during harsh winters....But I am sure they are aware of that fact, but dont want to hit it head on because of the rich ranchers that are lobbying for continued grazing rights who are involved and are lining their pockets with profits from it...

The reality of the world is that the more we multiply the more energy we are going to consume. Energy requires space to develop it.
If we really want to get to the root of the problem we should visit the fact that people should really start using condoms and stop multiplying like freaking rabbits.. We have a human population issue in this country.

I am torn on the entire subject. But Colorado certainly isn't torn, they appear to be taking a stance against energy independence.

I might have missed it but I dont see the DOW bitching about the massive windmill farms and solar projects that are taking up LARGE amounts of property across the state as well....I found that to be interesting..... Probably because its LIKE TOTALLY, SO GREEN!
