Prime Rib Roasts

Our local Safeway Market has a big sale at Christmas/New Years time on Prime Rib Roasts. If you buy $50.00 worth of other groceries, you get the Prime Rib for $4.98 per pound. I bought 2 ( one 12# & one 14#) and will cut them into Ribeye Steaks. They are wonderful on the grill and you can't get Ribeyes for $4.98 a pound.

They shut down the Safeways in Glenwood Springs quite a while ago. I don't think that Grand Junction even has one anymore

They are so good if they are hot. Not really hot, then too fatty

I get Prime Rib from a local customer that owns a small grocery store but has an amazing butcher shop. I usually trade him work for acouple 8 bone in ribs then I cut one into Ribeyes and the other I’ll put in a broaster or smoker for Christmas. Such good meat!

Finished cutting the meat into Rib Eye steaks and have a section of the ribs to go on the grill tonight.

Looks like I will be taking my wife out tonight for Prime Rib.
I love prime rib.

Depending on each store you can have them cut for you also. this sale is great, they do it every year.

City market is at $5.99 I think with the digital coupon this week Jim.
I got 30lbs to split for Christmas for my kids.
Plus I also had a 20% employee coupon and we had a 1 day 5% senior coupon. Lol
Anyway with all the discounts I ended up paying about $90 for the 30lbs.

I've actually been hovering around the spiral cut hams at City Market waiting for them to drop a little in price. I picked up one last year that was so cheap that the checker went back to get himself one or two.
