38.9 pounds. 7 days of high country early elk season. That's me naked plus everything...food, water, weapon, boots, pack, etc. 3 items are split weight between me and my partner. It's not necessarily a luxury setup, but the minimalist approach works for us.

I know some will say, where's your binos? where's your extra underwear? where's your spotter? where's your XYZ? Those options have been considered and are staying at the truck/house.

Very impressive list 25! I don't think I could ever be that organized and planned out, I have never went on a 7 day pack in hunt either. I may pack in for a few days while in Wyoming, my list is very, very short compare to yours though. I hope I survive!

Everyone says I pack in to much stuff but I am in for the duration and want to be some what comfortable for those seven days. I used to pack in about 10 more lbs but have been upgrading equipment for the last few years. the older stuff was just getting to heavy for these older bones!!

Ok so I did a little work last night and got down to 58lbs with the Video stuff and Tripod. Lost some unneeded stuff-sacks and holders for things like the gps, spot, folding knife etc.

Here is my packlist for a 4 day excursion. I have made some improvements this year, but have some room to improve. Allowing for quite a bit of water on this trip. We want to sit on top for a couple days. I wanted to show my optional items so people could see what i was leaving behind. I didn't list the binos, because they never go in the pack. I should add them on for clarity and tag as a "W".
