Pope & Young Conference/ St. Louis

I am in St. Louis for business and as I checked in I notice people are setting up what looks like a hunting show. As it turns out P & Y is having it's semi annual conference in the hotel this week. I visited several booths and a super nice guy let me go in and view this year's entries. Wow! Just Wow! Moose, Brown Bear, Black Bear, Deer, Sheep, Caribou, Antelope, Elk and Buffalo.

It's the biennial P&Y Convention.....a great event for all bowhunters. I fly in Friday for it........haven't missed one in a long time. We panel measured all those animals for three days in February to verify the measurements........some incredible critters this panel. It's a fun time for all who attend.

If you go mention to the the hotel that you are attending P&Y and they drop the cost of parking down to 10 dollars.

The convention was great......as usual. Four new world records were honored, including a spectacular typical elk that netted 430 0/8"! Additionally, a special panel of measurers were selected to measure a potential world record typical mule deer. I was fortunate enough to be a part of that panel and measured an impressive mule deer from NV. It was documented 'live' on the Pope and Young Club's Facebook account. At the next convention in Omaha, NE, we will honor this great buck as the new world record at 205 6/8".........unless one of us beat it by then.
